Lets face it, whether its an unspoken truth or you just let it all out, everyone likes to party one way or another, and everyone one way or another loves to get naked. I’m no different and neither is Kissy. Kissy is one of those models that just loves to be and pose nude, and I’m the just the kind of photographer who likes to shoot just that stuff. Lucky me, and lucky you for reading this post!.
I met Kissy while shooting another plus size model Austin, who can be seen in my Plus Size 1 and Plus Size 02 posts. They happened to be roommates, so I got the pleasure of shooting them both. But we are going to stay fixed on only one of our shoots. The shoot at the nude resort.
I don’t know the name of the nudists house but it was a fun little place, I call it Party Naked. It was shut down so we could snap off a few pictures. e actually started at her house where she was getting ready. I snapped a photo of Kissy in her bedroom sporting one of my favorite bikinis.

I spent the majority of the shoot in the backyard, the house wasn’t very interesting on the inside. Just outside they had a huge bar with a banner that red in bright red letters ‘PARTY NAKED’. I had Kissy stand behind the bar and started snapping away. Here is one of the first images I took that day.

The atmosphere of the place was very fun and tropical feeling. Lots of sand and grass weaves lined the walls. This particular sign made me chuckle and the framing of Kissy made it impossible not to shoot. I actually really like this picture.

Once we started getting comfortable with the location, settings and props I began snapping away a ton of pictures. Kissy posed here with one of the beach balls that was floating around the area. I love the tiki mask in the background.

Camera: Nikon D200
Exposure: 0.011 sec (1/90)
Aperture: f/4.8
Focal Length: 116 mm
ISO Speed: 320
Here is a more close-up shot of the one before. The rare slight breeze blew through her hair just enough to open up her hair and show her face. I was trying to go for something a little different. I am not sure if I succeeded or not but its still interesting.

Exposure: 0.013 sec (1/80)

She got bored of standing around so I shot her sitting in a chair with an umbrella overhead. The umbrella cast a strange red hue over her skin tone. Usually I don’t really bother in photoshop, mostly because I am lazy, I did however try to pull the color out but I couldn’t fix it, so I left it. Enjoy!

When things got hot she decided to jump into the pool. I took a bunch of photos of her in the water but since I’m a bit of a dick I am only going to show you this one. Hah!

In Las Vegas it gets so hot here that you can drip dry in minutes, maybe less. By the time she had gotten out and move into position she was practically already dry. She posed next to one of the canopy pillars and snap, snap, snapped away a few shots. I wanted to push the rules of thirds as best as I could without breaking a bad frame. I believe I got right on the borderline of breaking all the rules.

At the end of our shoot I had noticed that the house had a huge cool looking candle So I lit it and told her to hold it. I wanted to take a photo hand held using only candle light. This was very difficult. I had to use an ISO of 500. Lets face it anything really over ISO 400 can get really grainy and fast. Since I hardly ever shoot over 400 I never use the High ISO NR feature and of course I forgot about it. It didn’t come out the way I had envisioned it, but its not like I dislike it either. I guess you can say I am sitting on the fence on this image. Tell me what you think so I can know what the public thinks.

This last image I shot while she was washing the pool water off. I have another entire set for a future post with this but I wanted to share this image with you now. The last image for the day. This has been a very popular photo and one of my most complimented. So please enjoy and let me know what you think!
